I spoke with Jen Petro-Roy, the author of ‘P.S. I Miss You,’ one of Macmillan’s lead 2018 titles for young readers. The book drew rave early reviews and tackles timely subjects about grappling with sexuality and questioning authority.
However, across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic schools and libraries have turned Petro-Roy away on her book tour from presenting there. Petro-Roy says she did not write a controversial book.
